Welcome to Greenfund Timber Inc, a Canadian corporation based in the Toronto area working in the field of exotic lumber. We are a group of 20 partners, who combine over 200 years of business experience, most of it in forest products industries. We have experience in forestry, lumber, cabinet manufacturing, machinery, and logistics and have individuals who are amongst the best in the world at what they do.  With partners located in Canada, the US and Central America we have the ability to help you in many different areas.   - KEY pERsONELL

Marv Vandermeer is a renowned lumber expert who is well connected within the industry. He has 25 years of experience within woodworking, woodworking machinery and forest products. He has a degree in surveying and has operated businesses in 4 countries and has consulted as a forestry expert for a number of companies dealing in forestry products, including a restoration project at the White House (download full project manual in PDF).
Humberto Villalta, VP, Central American Operations–Humberto is an expert in logistics with regional experience and a degree in Industrial Engineering. He has operated an import-export company in Costa Rica for the past 18 years and has extensive sales contacts throughout Central America and the Caribbean. He has also owned and operated a machinery company with Marv Vandermeer between 2001-2003.
Ray Rosario has spent almost 20 years in the forest products field, with most of that time spent in the flooring industry. With a long background in sales, Ray brings excellent contacts to generate sales, as well as an understanding of the industry and how it operates.

Steve Timmermans is sole proprietor of Carolinian WoodWorks, which focuses on providing high quality, sustainably derived specialty wood products to a wide variety of specialty wood trades and markets. Steve has a Masters of Science and an Honors Bachelors of Science in Terrestrial and Aquatic Ecology, and has a solid background in dendrology and forest ecology. Steve combines his ecological, forestry, artistic, and business skills and background to provide quality product & services and unique experiences to customers of Carolinian WoodWorks.                             
Les Buck, Ph.D. is a Professor of Cell and Systems Biology (CSB) and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Toronto. He is the Associate Chair of Graduate Studies in CSB and Chair of the University Animal Care Committee and Associate Editor of the Journal of Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology. As a comparative biochemist and physiologist he studies the unique cellular mechanisms of animals adapted for survival in extreme environments. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles in international journals and teaches several courses on the topic of the impact of the environment on animal survival.
